FAQ

GENERAL

Our goal is clear: to develop creative, high-quality, and sustainable sets for businesses that leave a lasting impression.
But for us, a successful project is more than just a finished model. We believe in open, honest, and collaborative partnerships—where quality, reliability, and personalized support take center stage.
From the initial idea to delivery, you’ll receive everything from a single source—from custom development to high-quality packaging and assembly instructions, including to UV printing. Together, we create products everyone can be proud of. Learn more about our philosophy, how we work, and the people behind raabrickjust click.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to make a general statement.
The price depends primarily on the following factors:

  • Number and type of bricks used (standard bricks, minifigures, …)
  • Complexity of the design
  • Desired quantity
  • UV Printing and personalization
  • Packaging and accessories
  • Special requirements or features

Most of our projects range from about 15 to 45 euros per set.
Together, we’ll find the right solution to match your budget and requirements.

Every project is unique. The actual delivery time depends, among other things, on the complexity of the model, the quantity ordered, and the availability of individual parts.

As a general guideline, once the prototype has been approved, you can expect a production time of about 8 weeks.

No. There is no minimum order quantity.

However, certain costs are incurred regardless of the quantity ordered. These include, for example, model development, the creation of building instructions, and packaging design. For this reason, larger quantities are generally more cost-effective, as these one-time costs per set become negligible.

Yes, absolutely. The one-time development costs for the model, building instructions, and packaging design no longer apply.
As the long-term availability of individual LEGO® bricks cannot be guaranteed on a permanent basis, we review each reorder on a case-by-case basis. If a brick is no longer available, we will work with you to find the best solution. This helps us maintain the highest quality standards and reliable delivery times.

The more information you provide about your project, the more accurate our quotation will be.
It is particularly important to provide an estimated quantity of units you need, as well as information about the model’s intended use. For example:

  • A small giveaway for a trade show
  • A highly detailed model as a premium customer gift
  • A Christmas gift for employees

Photos, technical documentation, or details about specific requirements and features that should be incorporated into the model are also very helpful.
Please also let us know if you already have a planned delivery date. This helps us evaluate feasibility and delivery schedules right from the beginning.

One-time costs include, for example, model development, the creation of building instructions, packaging design, and, if necessary, the production of a prototype. These costs are only incurred once, at the beginning of the project.
In the case of a repeat order, these one-time costs no longer apply. Only the recurring costs apply. These include, among other things, the purchase of the bricks, UV printing on the bricks, printing the building instructions and packaging and shipping.

No. We recommend not referring to them as “LEGO sets. ” Instead, we recommend using terms such as “set of building bricks, ” “raabrick set,” or “custom models made from LEGO bricks.”

This clearly distinguishes the product from official LEGO® sets.

LEGO BRICKS

Yes. We are committed to using only new and original LEGO bricks.
If certain parts are unavailable or if special requirements make it necessary, we will, of course, consult with you in advance regarding the possible use of compatible bricks.

To customise our sets, we offer both high-quality stickers and UV printing.
Because we handle UV printing in-house, we can offer this finishing option with exceptional flexibility and cost-effectiveness.

We’d be happy to help you decide which option is best suited to your project.

The UV prints on the building blocks are very durable and create a premium-quality appearance. The printing is applied directly to the blocks, so no additional stickers are visible.

LEGO® bricks have been manufactured in different production batches for many years. As a result, there may be slight color variations between bricks of the same color.
In addition, recycled materials and different raw material batches may also contribute to slight colour variations. However, these variations are typically within a very narrow range, do not affect the functionality of the bricks in any way, and therefore do not qualify as a manufacturing defect.
The colors white and brick yellow (tan), in particular, are often more affected by such color variations than, for example, dark gray. You can find more information on this topic on the official LEGO® website
Yes. Company logos, lettering, graphics, or custom graphics can be printed directly onto suitable LEGO bricks. This ensures high brand recognition and a particularly premium look, especially for promotional items and customer gifts.
Since we handle UV printing in-house, we can produce custom prints quickly and flexibly, even in small quantities.
To print logos, trademarks, or other protected designs, we require confirmation that you own the necessary rights or have permission from the respective rights holder. This requirement does not apply to your own company logos or trademarks.
Please note that special trademark regulations apply to LEGO minifigures, for example. Therefore, logos, trademarks, or company names may not be printed on minifigures. However, printing on standard LEGO bricks and custom-designed models is generally permitted.
In some cases, certain LEGO® bricks—especially for repeat orders—are no longer available. LEGO also continually regularly updates its product range, which means that individual bricks may be discontinued.
In such cases, we first check for available remaining stock. If necessary, we try to find suitable alternatives or adjust specific details of the model accordingly. Our goal is always to preserve the model’s appearance, function, and expressiveness as much as possible.
Any such changes are always discussed and approved with the customer in advance.

BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS

BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS

Absolutely. Digital building instructions save on printing costs, reduce material usage, and are a sustainable alternative to the printed instructions.

By scanning a QR code on the packaging, customers can easily access and download the instructions, for example.
This is often a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution, especially for larger print runs.

Of course. The building instructions—especially the cover—can be designed entirely in line with your corporate design. Ideally, the design should be consistent with the packaging of the model made from LEGO® bricks to create a cohesive overall look.

For the building instructions themselves, we generally base the layout, design, and structure after the well-known LEGO building instructions, as they provide a particularly simple and enjoyable building experience.

However, if necessary, the individual building steps can also be customized entirely to suit your specific needs.

We are generally very flexible when it comes to the format and layout of the building instructions. The format, scope, and design can all be customized to suit each specific project.
In practice, however, building instructions in A5 or A6 landscape format have proven to work particularly well, as they provide a good overview while remaining compact.
For building instruction booklets of up to about 90 pages, saddle stitching is typically used. For longer manuals, however, perfect binding is recommended.

PACKAGING

Yes, of course. Once the size and type of packaging have been decided, we’ll be happy to provide you with the appropriate die-cut template. This way, you can design it yourself or have your agency create it for you.
In addition, we will provide you with all the necessary information to ensure that the packaging is implemented correctly and according to the required specifications.. It is important not to use any protected LEGO names, logos, or trademarks. Likewise, the packaging design should not resemble original LEGO packaging too closely, in order to avoid confusion or the impression of an official association to the LEGO Group.
A wide variety of packaging options is available. The most suitable solution depends on the size, weight, and intended use of the specific model.
In most cases, however, folding cartons are used. These are inexpensive to produce, offer good protection for the contents, and can be resealed if necessary.
Depending on the model’s size and weight, either high-quality chrome-coated cardboard or sturdy single-wall corrugated cardboard (E-flute) can be used.

Typically, the packaging includes the company logo, product name, images of the model, and contact information. In addition, we recommend including the most important legal notices and product information during the design process. These may include:

  • Warning: Not suitable for children under 3 years.
  • The appropriate warning symbol warning symbol
  • A notice indicating that the product is intended as a promotional or marketing item
  • The LEGO Disclaimer
  • The number of parts (optional)
  • An age recommendation (e.g. 14+) (optional)

If desired, the raabrick logo can also be included on the packaging with the wording “Manufactured by raabrick.
